Modernising houses in the 70's

Here is an interesting read on old houses and managing damp. Helping renovate my sons new old house brought me to this website because he had what looked like a terrible damp problem. After we had already spent a few hundred quid on what we thought was good things to do to stop the damp (blurb from the diy companies I expect) we had to reverse some of the work.
