Now I am semi retired I am too busy living to worry about all that!! When out and about the last thing on my mind is any of that because it is such a bad distraction. I hate text messaging, my fingers to big and predictive text is a joke, if I want IT I will use a good old fashioned Pc with a keyboard and big buttons with a big screen so I don't strain my eyes! Once upon a time when I was involved with producing software for embedded control I might have kept up with newer technology but not any more.Just a number of things I use my "mobile phone " for. I'm sure that there are 100's of others that are relevant to the individual. True that many

of these will be in the shape of an app(llcation) but the "mobile phone" enables it all.
I wouldn't be lost without it as I'm an old git, but I would certainly miss it.
