Anyone know the cheapest place to buy a decent one currently (taking into account postage etc)? Anyone got any offer codes etc? I have too much else to do to consider making one.

i have a couple of the axminster/rutlands type. They are ok. just. locktite the bolts or they rattle free. I wouldnt buy the same again, there was a discussion a little while ago about lifting something heavy onto a vbase, and the base seemed to be much better, or I would have some of the felder type ones made.

Rutlands must be due an offer on them very soon. buy one get one free, or 2 for a reduced price or something.

Everyone I can think of is around the £50 mark. I'm sure Rutlands have done them for about £30 during offers in the past, so might have to wait a bit

I've been happy with my previous Axi and Delta ones (though I made some changes to the delta) but both of those were free with the machines.

What's the fielder type?
