I was fortunate enough to find one of these at the bottom of a box of goodies I bought from a tool sale, but TBH I cannot get my head round it at all. There are supposed to be comprehensive instructions with it, but I got nothing in mine.

Does anyone know anything about this gadget? Please help, I need all the help I can get at the mo. What I would really love is a copy of the instructions.

Thanks

Neil

It turns your router table into an inverted pin router. The router goes under the table and the attachment pin has to be centred above it. Your template is then attached to the top face of the part to be routed and the piece pushed into the cutter and guided round with the pin against the template. I've worked where they had an American Onsrud inverted pin router which works on the same principle. It's a great idea for producing multiple copies of the same piece, for example solid guitar bodies or curved formers for making curved plywood components. By changing the relative sizes of the pins and cutters both parts of an inlay design can be worked.

Get your overhead router working Neil and it becomes a doddle, very useful when making two or more of anything.

Roy,

Comments have been about the slop in the guide pins, leading to innacuracies. There are plenty of plans for building them.
