Mirca Sanding Systems

I was very tempted to but one of the Ceros sanding systems

I make musical instrument and I was looking to speed up the final finishing process, through all the fine grits to the final buffing using the appropriate fittings etc. However, I have heard many bad after sales service reports, failing motors etc.

Are there any alternatives, I liked the idea of the separate power supply so the user can control the weight of the sanding / buffing.

I have the mirka deros so cant comment on the ceros
I find the biggest weight issue is not the tool but the extraction hose

I have the 125 version and it's a absolutely brilliant.
I'm primarily a box and small furniture maker and the small size and light weight really makes a difference.
Whilst I was choosing this I spoke to the Festool rep who conceded that it was at least as good as the Festool version and probably better for my needs.
Have a search in the forum as there is another thread about ROS.

my Deros went bang today
only 6 months old hobby use
it is under warranty so no big deal
but I do wonder how long I will be without it
I will update with quality of customer service when I know more

I went for the 90MM Festool , too many bad reviews on the Mirca.

repaired and returned in 5 working days
can't ask for much better service than that
