longer drill bits?

does anyone know if it's possible to get extra long fine (1.5mm or thereabouts) drill bits? I am playing with compound cutting, making a votive holder that requires some veining cuts, and am struggling to get the holes drilled in the 45mm wood i am using

Yes you can get longer 1.5mm drills but I've only ever picked them up at model engineering/craft shows.The Axminster Long series only go down to 2mm X 85 mm can you manage with those.

Dormer A125 series does a 1.5 x 160mm overall length

But a bit cheaper are the "Aircraft extension drills" by the likes of Interstate & hertel, these have a short flute length but long plain shank, available 1/16" in either 6" or 12" long.

MSC J&L do them all, best to use the virtual catalogue an dlook at pages 39 & 120 they also have a lot around the length CHJ mentions
