Interwood was British, now chineseCan we add Kine Engineering Co (Multico) , Interwood and possibly NU Tool, not sure if they were all British but names from the past.
Mostly Chinese or taiwaneseIt would be great if they could develop more new designs here, too.

I thought that, like 'Oliver machinery co. Ltd', they also had a manufacturing base here. I'll amend it. Thanks.Danckaert were not british .. it was just a sales office .. BELGIAN
Were JCB importing Chinese bandsaws in the 1960's ? Or was there no direct connection with JCB here?Chinese I am afraid
Yes, but hand tools only. Ref: F. Parramore and Sons - Graces GuideHow about Paramo? I have one of their replaceable blade planes that now uses Record blades. It was one of the first woodworking tools that I bought. Not sure if they are British though or what other tools they made.
Sure. Rye Engineering Works (High Wycombe) Thanks Vince.Rye?
I too thought they manufactured some of their machinery in the UK.I thought that, like 'Oliver machinery co. Ltd', they also had a manufacturing base here...
Ref: JCB Timeline Traces 75 Year HistoryI would be very surprised if the JCB bandsaw was Chinese, as it is at least 50 years old, and as China was at the height of the cultural revolution at the time and couldn't even feed themselves. These machines were made before the company made earth moving equipment.
