Hi all we looking to buy a splashback for a custom kitchen (app W750xH1000mm) does anyone know where a custom splashback can be purchased from please? It's to go behind a hob so heat resistance is a must.

"Splashback" covers a multitude of materials......What did you have in mind?....Glass?...Alluminium?.....Quartz?......Stainless Steel?
Also, if the Hob is gas, this also reduces your options.

Gas hob and it's not for me it's my daughters kitchen, I'm just making it and fitting (Just about finished). They were going to buy one from Howdens but Howdens only had 600mm wide splashback so they have left it and looking for one that will hopefully fit the opening.

The opening is H 960 x W 764mm. They are having a laminated worktop with upstand.

B&Q do some, at varying widths including 750 mm. Or you could simply put a few tiles of some sort on the wall. That's what we have and it works fine. Slainte.

Thanks for that I'll tell them to take a look. They are removing all of the tiles currently on the walls then re-plastering.

They have ordered a worktop and upstand for the back of the worktop (to match the worktop) and then just would like a splashback above the hob. I could always cut and spray some beads either side of the splashback to fill in any gaps where the overhead unit is I suppose but it is going to be up to them what they have provided we can get it. B&Q sounds worth a look cheers.

We used tempered glass over the decorative tiling. Had edges ground round and two holes drilled to coincide with a tile grout line and fixed with stainless domed mirror screws. We filled the whole space, easy to keep clean.

If glass is an option, you could try UA Glass in Norwich: UA Glass

No affiliation, but I use them for my glass units.

@meccarroll , completely of topic, your out towards Lowerstoft, and I think, in the past, you mentioned you worked at Brooke Marine, did you by any chance know a Kevin Darkins?

I bought one off ebay last time from a place that specialized in them, the reason was the one supplied by Wrens was not clear glass by my standards but very green and hence looked rubbish over the sparkly white wall cladding. Possibly a non issue on a gark background but looked awful on the white.
The one I bought on ebay was actually clear and advertised specifically as "crystal clear glass" . They had loads of sizes or custom, came with holes drilled and screws with caps.

That's a thought

Thank's for that every suggestion with a lead is helpful.

Yes I'd agree some of the extras Wren supply are not top end or even middle of the road but I tend to think they do have some nice kitchens.

I had mine made by a local metal fabrication company. 2mm thick stainless with a 10mm folded return at each side. Far better quality and much cheaper than most off the shelf ones.
I'm not sure if they want stainless steel but if they do it could be worth approaching a local fabication company if they do cheers.
