Just a small diversion

Just for a break from all the other jobs thought I would make a Christmas present. This measures about 9" long

Thanks all for the comments. Next time I make something will try and do some WIP photo's, this was one of those little bits that needed doing just got on with it forgot the camera.
I used the router table to cut out for the inlay. Running the end of the box (before cutting off the lid) against the fence, just took it easy over the curved top cut and stuck the inlay in :wink:

Where did you get the lock and hinges from?

I got the lock and hinges from a local Company called "Hinge and Bracket"
The lock was some old stock they had. Hinges were new stock and the escutcheon had a slightly over sized hole for the key but does not notice on the completed box
