Took the afternoon of work today as I needed to cut down 11 jumbo sheets (2620x2070) of melamine faced 18mm chipboard, into transportable sizes, as they were delivered to a friends place( I'd nowhere big enough or a forklift). Thought it would only take me a couple of hours, how wrong was I!! eventually managed to cut down every sheet, but it never crossed my mind about the weight, so quite a few trips tomorrow, tranporting the panels back to my place. Only ever used 8x4 sheets before. Will never complain again, about how heavy or awkward they are to manoeuvre around

Hi guys

Try moving them on a windy day .

umm don't do that , I've seen what can happen when you try that on your own some poor guy with his arm wrenched out of his socket and broken in three placed not nice. be warned

The inside walls of my workshop are lined with these. It took two of us to move them safely and we used a wheeled base (from the planer thicknesser) to transport them. And yes, be carefull in windy weather!I would never have used them out of choice but they were at the right price (free).

I build a conservatory cabinet a few years ago and thought i'd be clever and order 10x4 sheets of 18mm MDF. That wasn't fun shifting on my own... hmmm I wonder how I got this bad back?
