I need 3m s/steel 12mm threaded bar i was thinking of jointing some 1m lengths so i need joint sleaves or long nuts found the nuts at fastfix but only in 50s, can any one sudjest a supplier or a better solution

Hello Old
Try electrical or plumbing wholesalers for stud connectors. You might struggle for 12mm as 10 & 8 are more commonly used but if you can't get a sensible quantity I may have some 10mm I can send you.
Regards Soapy.

Drill and tap a bit of 20mm dia. bar out at m12, screw half and half onto each bit, then lock it with a nut tightened against the bar.

Or, weld it/ get it welded...

Or- buy a longer piece of threaded bar... a good supplier will be able to supply it in 3metre lengths, rather than 1m that people like toolstation/screwfix sell.

I just noticed, you want stainless steel....

A decent supplier will do that in 3m lengths too.

Thanks Hitch i have ordered in a 3m length and am quite pleased as it will look a better job.

Niceone.

If your threading nuts a long way down, put a little copperslip on. Stainless threads can be a real pain, they bind up fairly easily.
