Hi All,

Anyone own one of these, can it cope with 10inch oak boards??

i think the 310 signifies 310mm, if so then yes.
simplest thing to do would be to check jet's u.s. website, spec will be in inches

Hi Fouroaks
Yes, and er....yes!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for pointing out that its a 12" PT (I guess its in the name PT310 doh!). What I mean is will it cope with wide oak boards. Does it have the 'oomph' or will it grind to a halt unless only taking off 1mm a pass??
Cheers

I have the 10" version and it doesn't even sigh when I pass a 10" board over or under it.

The 310 is built sturdier and I'm positive it could take anything you throw at it.

Only you pay now a little more for your Planer/Thicknesser from JET.
It is the same Planer/Thicknesser the hat on stock at Axminster but now you pay about 20% more.
Maybe it is better to look for a other brand.
