I've just tried every Lidl in the county, and they all sold out of the Sharpening Station early this morning!

A while ago Lidl were selling overlockers (it's a type of sewing machine!) ridiculously cheap, and my partner asked me to pick one up on my way to work. I turned up around 8:02, two minutes after they opened, and there was one left; when I carried it to the checkout I found myself behind three little old ladies all of whom were buying themselves overlockers. Gazing through the glass at the carpark while waiting, there were at least two others being lifted into car boots at the same time...

At least they have the decency to keep Lidl shut until 8AM when most people are awake instead of doing midnight launches!

here's a tip. I just happened in to my local Lidl yesterday late afternoon (Sunday) and all the stock that is for the Monday specials were already out on display (including that sharpening gizmo). So in future if anyone is expecting their pants to catch fire if they don't snap up the latest piece of Lidl Landfill...go on Sunday.

I took one look at that sharpening thing and projectile vomited over several customers!

I went into my local Lidl at about 09:30 and there were still a few of everything left. Got a sharpening station and a pack of files & rasps. And some work gloves.

There were about 6 sharpening stations in my nearest branch when I popped in lunchtime.

Picked up the 18g nailer/stapler last week and got round to having a play with it last night. Apart from some fiddliness in the depth gauge it seems a good bit of kit for the £20 I paid. I do need to get some shorter brads and staples for it though - does anyone know which ones would work with it? I would post a link to it but it seems to have dropped off their site.

Looks like they have/will have an electric srapler in for £10. Bit of a strange design. Anyone tried one? Got to be worth a tenner surely!
