I really dislike the splay of the legs on this chair, but had no strong opinion about the desk or their work in general.

Until, that is, I took the time to explore the Meier Bros. website. I'd love to hear how Jacob would sum up the "table cloth table" concept. I'm sure he'd express it more eloquently than I ever could.

SWMBO, in case you're reading this - and I know you're dying to see what we talk about on this forum  - please DO NOT buy me a piece by Meier Bros for my 50th birthday.

The " table cloth table" brought an old nursery rhyme to mind...

There was a crooked man,
and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat,
which caught a crooked mouse,
and they all lived together in a crooked little house

On the original piece under discussion, I too like the desk but I'm not so keen on the chair it just looks like it would give way under you.

Hmm very strange. It's the almost human leg shape. Siamese twins back to back, from the waist down, wearing a rather attractive mini skirt?
In a sc-fi or horror film this table would be scurrying about, clicking it's heels, up to no good.

cheers
Jacob

I think the drawers have elegant yet robust lines to them betraying a futuristic portal as seen through Edwardian eyes.
I think if that's the sort of thing I should be thinking then I'm in waaaaaay over my head...

I think therefore WE are
