Because your machine is broadcasting the SSID the hacker will also be able to see the MAC of the machine broadcasting it, so you are presenting both pieces of info to him anyway!!!
The only real protection you have there is the WPA, which should be enough for all but the hardest working of crackers, and to be honest they have better things to do than piggy back on your broadband (in most cases, unless you are unlucky enough to live next to a real crim).
