Well you couldn’t go wrong at that Phil, but I think if it was me I would change the wheels before I used it in anger!
 
I was thinking more of you don’t know what punishment they’ve had in the past and you wouldn’t want them breaking up at speed Phil.
 
how about a section of old machines, big n small still in use.....?

I have an old Wolf drill, heavy as hell with a 1/2 chuck...it's a proper 2 hander not a pistol drill....
had a peice of steel water pipe screwed into the casting for anti torque help....
no roller bearing anywhere, all bronze bushings with ball bearing oilers around the machine......
1 speed and oh so slow.....
still gets used on occaision....
no photos, sorry still in packing crate somewhere.....

Lovely, I am a bit obsessed with Wolf stuff.

Is the tool rest on the left a later addition? If so, does it have a maker's mark?
