It was very busy today, had a great day with lots of interesting visitors to our stand today.
To be honest we're shattered!

Looking forward to another enjoyable day tomorrow, hope we'll see some of you there!

Too late. - I'm doomed - doomed I tell you :(

Anyway, having told the missus I'm going next week, have now revised that to tomorrow. As she had planned that we go xmas shopping, she ain't amused! I sure she thinks it's deliberate 'cos I HATE shopping (womens' work).

My brother who was going with me, isn't so lucky (or brave) as he hasn't sorted it yet. Told him to put his foot down.

Car's gassed up, sat nav primed all ready for an early start via John Boddy tomorrow :)

cheers

Got round that by promising my beloved that Harrogate is great for shopping, so thats her dropped off outside Betty`s then a short sprint down to the show - sorted!

Ps was a bit disappointed last time I went to Boddys, looked at me daft when asked if they had a Sorby Proedge in stock!

Got to agree there Gasmansteve, its not a patch on what it used to be like  probably see it all in an hour if you really walk slowly
OOPS I was refering to Boddy's not the Harrogate show :?

Yeah I thought it was NEXT week as well! It usually concides with the Knitting and Stitching Show held at the Conference Centre. This year it doesnt.

I always thought that was a really great idea. My friend Ken and I would do the Woodwork and Elaine and Maggie the stitches. No argument about what we spent because we both came home with bags of goodies that we couldn't really afford :D

I'll be there tomorrow and look out for you all.

I will be interesting for me to see the changes as I haven't been for donkeys years.

I lived close to Beverley for a few years and called in often on the way back to Northumberland.

I remember it as quite a decent shop in those days.

Will look out for members at the show but maybe should print off the rogue gallery pics

cheers

Hi folks the show is going really well. Sales of our products are going extremely well and so a A GREAT BIG THANKYOU to all our customers. Can't wait to see you all again soon.

Hi all
Well I thought it was pretty good and far busier than I thought it would be which was good for the exhibitors.
Looked for some of you lot but only found Terry on the Chestnut stand but no `UK Workshop` badges anywhere never mind always next year
Got nearly everything on me shopping list except a decent compressor ebay beckons methinks. Well worth the visit I thought.
Cheers
Steve
Ps Hope that shoulder gets better Lisa!!!.

Hi Chris you expect me to take photos as well I've not had chance I know women can multitasking but come on hehe
And thanks Steve still undecided about having the op don't think I could really do much if I lose the use of my arm I can't do anything with my left hand so got lots to think about.[/i]

hi steve
got your eye on anything in particular, cant wait til chrimbo when i can have a play with mine, want to do something like nick arnulls stuff.

Hi Steve
Looked at that compressor/kit you are getting on the RDG stand at Harrogate and it seems just the job for spraying but I`d like to have a go at sand blasting some turnings which would need a bigger compressor maybe 10cfm 2.5/3.0hp so instead of double and even treble buying stuff like I usually do might just hold out for one powerful one and thats it. I did read that some of the compressors need a 16amp supply which might determine which size I finally get as I really can`t be ar$ed rewiring the workshop just for that. Mind thinking about it I just have a single 2.5mm feed from the house consumer unit on its own 30amp fuse feeding the shop so that might be ok?? As we say up here `There`s alus summat`

hi steve
what i also like about mine is it has a tank too, and dont forget about the noise level too.
still looking around for a decent price on acrylics to airbrush though, as i think most of the bottled ones need thinning to run ok.

Well I forgot my badge and nobody said hello :(

I bought three turning tools as I am just starting out, I was going to buy a set but the guy talked me out of it and suggested a Roughing gouge, parting tool and scraper to get me started. I was impressed as he could just have sold me the set for £65. I got two chucks for my tailstock (ML8) a 13 mm and a smaller one I can keep a centre drill in.

I was tempted by the woodstar router table as I was planning to buy another router and build a table. I see now it has "mixed" reviews so maybe i bought a pup, we'll see. I only want it for very light edging and moulding. Assorted other little bits n bobs and I spent my budget.

I enjoyed the day and it was nice to bump into the lads from Aberdeen who come down every year again.
