Hi Tin
Yes I quite enjoyed it and its only the second time I`ve been but a lot of folk say its not as good as it used to be!! Might be good if one day the forum could have a small stand at shows like this maybe SK promotions could donate a small un for us as I gather it would be quite expensive otherwise?. Having said that who would man it/look after it etc ??
Just a thought.
Doh! just thought of some more tools I could have got ! bu&&er :?

I went on friday and was very pleased overall. I didnt get last year but thought it was a big improvement on the previous two years.
There was a very good mix of stands with not too much of a bias towards turning and there seemed to be fewer stands selling tat. Overall a good day out and got to meet Philly and Tom Lie Nielsen

Went on Sat. Stocked up on the usual amount of Fein blades and Pozi bits - you can't beat a tub of 100 Makita ones for £10!

Bought a set of 6 turning chisels by Robert Sorby - not bad at £99 for 6 HSS ones. Almost got suckered into buying their sharpening jig for £110 or something. Thought I'd give that a miss, surfed the web at home and found loads of info on jigs that you can make yourself - so happy I passed on that jig. Just need to get some better wheels for the grinder.

Just the 2 main stands selling tat - one in the middle and the usual one at the top.

All in all, a good\useful\interesting day - except for his Lordship asking when we were going home every 5 mins, except when his gob was occupied with a large waffle cone ice cream.

I sure she thinks it's deliberate 'cos I HATE shopping (womens' work).

Got round that by promising my beloved that Harrogate is great for shopping, so thats her dropped off outside Betty`s then a short sprint down to the show - sorted!

Ps was a bit disappointed last time I went to Boddys, looked at me daft when asked if they had a Sorby Proedge in stock!

Bit of a clart to get there, but you must try Snainton Woodworking Supplies.
