Not sure if this has already been mentioned on the forum (couldn't see any likely postings anyway) but according to the Tilgear sale catalogue that came earlier this week, they are selling off 2" Holtey irons for £25 each plus vat, which sounds pretty good to me.
They are in Cuffley, Herts, but do a mail order service.

I wonder if this means Karl Holtey has carried out his threat to emigrate to France?
 
Not yet, I think.

I was talking with Karl a few days ago about his new steep pitched bevel down smoother.

Blades from Tilgear exceptionally good value.

I wish Tilgear would join the 21st century: anyone know if these are A2, S53, or some even more exotic 'Holtey Special'??
