The current version of Safari on my iPad under iPadOS 18 has a really neat feature. You can get rid of any irritating stuff on screen.
For example this is currently what I see on the home page after using the feature. You just tap the blue eye in the address bar then select any rubbish you don’t want to see and hit “Hide”.
