My first post. I need a little advice regarding a kity multi function tool I recently bought and am setting up in my shed.
It has a bench saw, a spindle moulder, a planner/thicknesser and router built in to it. I would like to download some instructions as I got a box of parts thrown in but am not sure how everything fits together. I have looked online but the kity site just deals with their more recent machines and this must be many years old.
The router and spindle moulder are my main areas of concern - when I attach the belt to the spindle moulder it strains to start so I turn it off as I don't want to damage the motor. Could the belt be too tight? If so where can I order a new belt? Can the spindle moulder be repositioned to allow for a little slack?
When using the router the levers only really allow me to move the block of wood a few inches in either direction where as I would ideally want to cut down the entire length of the block, say 30" if I were making a cabinet door. I guess the levers are therefore just for precision cuts, is this right?
Finally, I would really like to talk with someone who owns a similar Kity to ask a few other general questions.
Help would be very much appreciated.
Thx
