Help!...someone's put my house up for sale!

Police Scotland are selling off surpus police stations. Earlier in the year they sold the big station in Dunfermline and probably made more than half a million at least. Or so they thought. It was still owned by Fife Council and they had to give them the money they made. I thought you couldnt sell a building you didnt own. Dont think anyone has been charged with fraud yet!

Why on earth would they think they owned it? Far as I was aware we pay our council taxes to cover costs of local police etc, the word "council" being the important bit. Don't the police know they get their funding from the council??
