Help: new no volt release switch won't work

Hi folks

I tried my new Trend nvr switch today and nothing. It appears to be dead.

I tried it on a couple of machines to be certain, but it's like it's permanently off.

Are faults usual? Could this be user error?

Any suggestions welcome.

You should be able to exchange it for another one with Trend, seeing as how it is brand new. Just be careful not to do anything that might invalidate the warranty.

Is the fuse in the plug sound?

It's their srt/10 switch, which fits their old smaller table. It is rated to 1850 watts and I have an old dewalt dw625e type4 with the 1850 motor. Trend told me it should be ok with that - it won't even work with the vacuum cleaner!

Trend have kindly agreed to replace it foc. Let's hope the replacement works!
