I was recently inspired by Ed's tool box into doing something about my hand tool storage for transportation onto site. I've lost track of the number of times i've thought "sh!t, I could do with [insert any given tool which is hanging on my wall storage in the 'shop]".

So I found a spare tool storage bag, and managed to (almost) fill it:

When I need these tools in the 'shop, the bag just sits at the end of the 'bench, and all tools are readily available for use.

I've got a couple of other bits which i've got my eye on for Xmas - a couple of Silky folding jap saws :D

Cheers

I'm following the same idea with my toolbox, in that it sits at the end of the bench ready for any little trips out there may be.

On a related note, I was in my local Focus at the weekend and they have 40% of a number of the Stanley toolboxes (including a rollalong type) if anyones in the market for one.

A nice idea Karl. Your Jap chisels remind me why I binned them and got some LN's...mushed over, ragged handle tops that dig into the palm of your hand  - Rob

Rob - the Jap chisels don't get to see the palm of my hand - they're for mallet use only

If I want a chisel for paring I reach for one of the AI's.

Cheers
