Much as I love the pure schadenfreude and the pile of ordure that continues to be piled upon Gurning Walrus and the fact that he simply doesn't know when to stop digging, the one downside is that one can hardly look at a news channel without seeing his ugly mug.

Ah. Took a second for the penny to drop that you mean Gregg Wallace, thought we were back on track with Trump for a moment there

I've always thought of GW as the epitome of what a tw@t should be!
In all honesty I can't say I particularly disliked him, I've just thought of him as a tw@t!

@ey_tony your last sentence is nearly a word-for-word year end appraisal I received just before I retired
Well it's true in GW's case LOL
I couldn't say I disliked the guy as while he came across as somewhat perhaps loud, he also came across as affable at the same time but I just couldn't get past 'tw@t' :)

This seems to be just the latest example of cancel culture, trying to hound someone out of their job
The guy is a bit of a fossil from a bygone era, and not to everybody's liking But, when all is said and done, he is a London Greengrocer and not Mother Teresa- and what you see is what you get.

Yes, he's being singled out....
After all, he's an educated, talented, eloquent and well-respected expert presenter, and is highly regarded for his cheffery and cookery expertise and knowledge...

Oh.
Hang on....

Nothing at all to do with cancel culture.

He doesn't need any helping being hounded out of his job. He's managed that all by himself. However, it has to be said that given the number of complaints and concerns raised, had management both at the BBC and the independent production company, Banijay, done their job properly then it wouldn't have gone on for so long. It's not as if Banijay aren't 'without form' since they are the same company that makes Strictly.
