Anyone see that Centauro CO600 for £275 in Surrey ?
I wish I was close ...
These I believe... don't have dual voltage motors though, but for that price a customised VFD from Bob
or a motor swap would make this a bargain anyway.

These apparently are more solid saws than ACM 600's,

Just to close this off, finally sold the car to a knowledgeable lad who asked sensible questions and turned up when he said he would, with the money and didn't argue too hard over price. So it is possible!
But the one who took the biscuit emailed to ask for lots of photos of the engine (for anyone who knows Golfs, there is a large sound deadening plastic cover which almost entirely conceals the engine). When I queried this and said it was just the normal 2 litre Tdi, got very snotty email back saying it's not 2 litres (think it's actually 1986cm3) and there were lots of variations in the engine, so my ignorance meant he needed the photos. I do love smarta**es.

I know what you mean, there are time wasters but so there are on ebay etc

But I have sold more via Gumtree than ebay and others though, and with gumtree its free and mostly cash in the hand so less risk
