This basket is made from Irish Elm (rings) and Iroko (legs and base). It has a diameter of 12" and is finished in oil and natural beeswax.
It's an enlarged version of a Roy King design.

Thanks for looking.

Nice, elegant shape. I crib some shapes and forms from Google images, Greek, Roman and Oriental it's all there and for free!

As somebody has said that is one elegant piece Phil . In the short time I was scrolling I would never have dreamed that pieces like that could be made on a scroll saw . It just goes to show that the longer you live the more you learn .

I loved Elm when I was turning and it still holds its beauty when used for scrolling .

Thanks for showing .

Looking at this again this morning and it's putting me off my project for today. :) It's a similar style from Steve Good, but from 6mm BB ply. Maybe it'll be OK as long as the wife doesn't see the pic's of Phil's. :)

Thanks for the comments all.

Eugene, I agree with you about Elm's qualities. It's also a dream to cut too.
