So, here's the allocation:

Shoulder Infill Plane - Billiphuster
Infill smoother type thingy - Pete Maddex
Brace - Alexam
Plough planes and irons - Dovetaildave (I'm presuming you're referring to the two wooden monsters with the ornate fences?)
Mortice chisels - LutponM
Moulding Planes - BM101
Fillister thingy - Doris

The tricky one is the stash of carving chisels - there are four of you interested.
I'm going to have a quick look at them all and see if there are 'sets' to be made up from them, if you know what I mean. If not, or if not enough then I'm going to have a knockout tournament of Rock, Paper Scissors with my young lad to determine the lucky winners.

Hope that no one feels hard done by if they've missed out. There will be more of this sort of stuff coming up in the next month or so, and any who've missed out this time will get first dibs next time.

Nice one! will you be in contact re postage etc?

   Love it! certainly wouldn't upset me, a great bit of lateral thinking =D> Bet he always wins as well

Hi Zeddedhed,

I've P.M'ed you.

Love the idea of "Rock, Paper, Scissors". Does your lad act on their behalf, or do the persons PM in their "selection of RPS"?

After consulting the international 'Tool Giveaway Committee' the tournament format is as follows:

The four names get put into an old jam jar containing mystery bolts (the ones that are left over after assembling a new bit of workshop kit)

They will then be selected FA Cup Draw style by me wearing white cotton gloves into two games.

This will result in two winners - if I can make up two sets of chisels then one set goes to each winner.

If there ain't enough for two sets then the two winners will meet in the 'Final' for an uber tense game deciding the ultimate winner of the ZedDedHed chisel challenge trophy stash.

Nail biting stuff I'm sure you'll all agree.

And yes, I probably do need to get out more..

Who have you sold the televised rights to? Sky will give you megabucks for those.

Maybe channel 4 - let's hope Steve Jones isn't presenting

Oh and well done Zed, very thoughtful. Did you hire all the people you were after a while ago? - I remember that thread starting but not what happened - must be getting old...

I hate to disrupt the results but I was mainly after the shallow gouges so I think I may pass and just take the filister instead. If thats ok?

And if I may just disrupt the results even further...... Doris asked for the fillister on my behalf (just occasionally our paths cross in the real world! (hammer) ), but for me it was more of a nice-to-have than an essential. I would rather it went to DovetailDave, if he could put it to use educating the youngsters?

Sent from abroad, on holiday.

Zed logged into the forum yesterday, so hopefully he's just sidetracked ;)

Why worry about it Malcolm? He offered them free and no-one is out of pocket.

There will be valid reasons for sure.

He must really WANT the brace [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
