Formaldehyde off-gassing from MDF when storing in the house

I store about 50 sheets of 600x400 sheets of MDF in my house for use with cutting with my laser. This is due to higher, or much higher humidity in my conservatory or shed.

Will the off gassing of formaldehyde be a health issue?

I don't want to have to buy an expensive calibrated sensor/monitor just for a yes or no.

(The situation when cutting with a laser is well taken care of and not part of the question)

If you think of all the shops full of mdf and people there walking past there cant be much danger. If it is being sawn, sanded or lasered may be a different matter.. Formaldehyde was widely found in school labs, medical and photographic places, make sure there is plenty of ventilation and that no person or animal is spending large amounts of time close to it..

Sheets that small could be stored in a wood/plywood box with a lid that doesn't need to be airtight. A small computer fan drawing the air out of the box and blowing it outside will keep any off gassing out of the house.

Before doing so I would be tempted to get an air quality meter to see if there is a problem to solve. You can also use it to make sure the Laser's ventilation system doesn't leak.
