I am trying to fit a new blade to the little sealey bandsaw, but cannot get the wheel to drop enough to give me slack to fit the blade. Is anyone familiar with these bandsaws - it is different to the metabo I have, and I cannot figure if i have missed something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Neil

not familiar with the sealy

how much more slack do you need ?

can you get an edge on and rotate the wheel to get the rest on ?

like putting a chain on a push bike

I hate to ask the obvious, but are you sure you have the right size blade?

yeah that /\ /\ /\

that was my 1st thought , but forgot to ask

Is this a 3 wheel? and is a rexon a clone?

I live in bedford and may be able to pop over to see?

depending on where abouts in bedfordshire you are!

oh my days, I have it!

It was the spring in the adjusting thingamajig, and it wasn't dropping at all.
What i did was unscrew it all and clean it, whereupon it has begun to work again.

This is a small 2 wheeler I bought off the bay, I dunno about the instructions, they weren't in the pack. I have had a look on the web for a copy, but couldn't find em.

Must admit though, I have missed having a bandsaw, even if it is a small one.

Thanks guys, and if anyone has a small sealey 2 wheeler instruction manual, let me know. Cheers.

Majorlarf, I am on Tavistock Street, nice and central. Will have to link up sometime and talk. Didn't think there were any other woodies in the area!

Happy days!!!

Neil

Glad to hear you got it sorted. I try to keep things like this regularly lubricated with dry PTFE spray. Each time I change the blade, I give all moving parts a quick dust off and a spray. :)
