I've used it for creating cabinets and stands in the workshop.
I do have a lot of off cuts so trying to find ideas to use it up...my current ploy for using up ply are clocks.
You could possibly fill the voids but it won't look great i don't think...the layers aren't uniform.

I have used cheap Birch ply from B&Q some years ago it was light in weight but good quality, it still looks good today, I don't know if they supply the same stuff today.
