You don't have to go Alberta lads; Crib Goch on Snowden has a ridge just as thin and hairy in places. I did it in when it was crusted snow and ice, which made life infinitely more interesting. Some of the Scottish ridges are longer too; try the Chancellor on the Aonach Eagach (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fortwill ... gach.shtml, photo two) or my personal favourite, An Teallach and Lord Berkley's seat (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/ullapool ... lach.shtml, phot four). The day I was up there, the atmosphere was crystal clear, the horizon was forty to sixty miles away.
I couldn't even walk across the props, to get 'ashore', when one of my ships was in dry dock! Ship's mail was late getting away that day! Not cut out for heights you see.
