Now you're talking, I love lizards [used to breed bearded dragons] If you've got too many phone Yodell, I'll pm my address.

Oh what a night, just demolished another of those black multi legged devils spawn. dont often see them, Even less likely now, (g).

We have more lizards than you can shake a stick at. Ordinary, gecko, skink, chameleon (2 types) and the house geckos. Dont mind any of them, its spiders and flies turn me into a raging psychopath. We also have preying mantis. females can be 6" overall. Sometimes when sitting outside I notice a tiny tiny piece of green fluff on me, and realise its a 1/4" long baby mantis, almost see through green.
I live on a large area of undeveloped ground (not mine I hasten to add) and almost every other step will send tiny lizards racing off in all directions.

Shame I cant easily post pictures any more.

Another thing about spiders - they make really lousy pets. They are difficult to train and as far as taking them for a walk on the lead goes, well, forget it. They are not so very cuddly either.

I'm firmly in the see a spider kill a spider camp.

Luckily we dont see many here, but theres one little son of a female dog that is almost skin coloured, and JUMPS about 3 foot at a time.
They are small , but they can walk across you while youre sitting on a chair and you can barely see them. And they BITE. If you miss with the first whacker, youre unlikely to get a second chance.
Remember lads, see a spider, kill a spider.

You have tarantulas in Cyprus. :)

We also have scorpions, but they have more than 4 legs also, so no, I dont have any (live) tarantulas or scorpions in my sight picture.

Ok, I'm trying to load a pic of the baby lizard I took yesterday. I couldnt get any closer than this. i had an 18 mm macro lens on the camera. Just for scale, the grand canyon in front of it is 4 mm wide.
