Re the rack & pinion action .. spoke to Evolution today. It turned out that the front sliding rail was slightly bent causing it to jam. Apprantly this sometimes happens during transit. A new rail is on its way for delivery tomorrow!

Ised, now fitted and all is good! The fence adjustment is as it should be - nice and smooth. Again, great customer service from Evolution.

Many thanks for the speedy reply So, happy with the purchase so far, worth the money? Apart from the mitre gauge, no other niggles?

edit: Pants, out of stock till April (without the stand)

That's what I've found also - and Evolution won't take orders for before stock arrives
