Elu 3401 bandsaw speeds

I have this cheap and cheerful machine. It has a double pulley. I have been using it on big pully. Cutting Oak Utile and Iroko mainly. Any advantage on these materials if I swap belt to small pulley?

IIRC the slower speed was for cutting metal - with an appropriate blade of course.

You might also want a lower speeed for plastics like Perspex. They can get hot and melt.
