I would try alan holtham i think he did a promo. vid. years ago on this machine.

I notice the photo shows that it has a tool hire company sticker on it. Two questions:
1) Is it his to sell, or is he selling something he has rented?
2) Has it had a hard and abused life, like most hire tools?

Hi Byron,

I have the same model, but I only use it as a thicknesser because I have a dedicated planer.

IMHO it is a excellent p/t and since it came on the market it has been cloned time and time again.

Again IMHO because of the above I would be very careful. First of all it is painted green which means it is at least 6 or 7 years old (if you go and see it, it will tell you the year of manufacture on the makers plate), the reason being Elektra Beckum changed the colour to blue about 6 years ago.
If it has been a hire tool for that long you can bet it has had a hard life. The trouble with this model is people that don't know what they are doing tend to lift it by its table's and this can be the kiss of death for them.

It's up to you but if its been a hire tool I would leave it where it is.

Cheers

Mike
