This came my way the other day.

I

knew it needed some attention, as it was not moving.

Using this drip oiler I managed to get my own penetration oil into the threads.

The rust didn't to bad, but it was enough to stop the action.

research informed me when it was new, it was "Gun Black"
So that's what I did.

The gold leaf was my bit of fun.

Yellow I wish you would resize your pictures to a smaller size. The all take at least 30 to 60 seconds each to download for viewing. On a monitor there is no reason to have a picture that is over a few hundred kilobytes. When they are megabytes in size those of us on slower services give up waiting. Your restorations / refurbishments are good and I enjoy seeing them but not at the cost of time it takes so I usually avoid your threads. I can't be the only one.
