I think the ads are the best things on telly  especially the ones for the anti wrinkle creams and beauty products with all the made up names of the ingredients, still the girls must get pulled in by all that stuff. I'm definitely going to get some of that Lynx stuff though.......

Who's taken in by the fancy names of this stuff? There's been one advertised recently called "L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic X-Treme Turbo Booster Moisturiser".... I don't have a clue what it is, but it sounds like they couldn't decide on the name so put together all the words on the whiteboard at the end of the brain-storming exercise!

What about the bloke in the ad. selling windows ,Buy one get one free I say
buy one!!!!!!!!!
Jeez just imagine living next door to him .

And how many of you have noticed that the 'Ad breaks' are getting more and longer, I can remember when ITV were only allowed three breaks an hour which I think were about two minutes each, now we sometimes get five breaks an hour and up to five minutes each, that's nearly half of every hour is advertising, on top of which they are now allowed to have 'sponsors' time as well, so in reality more than half of every hour is advertising, add in the upcomming programme trailors and it's not worth watching 'live' anymore.

As some have said record the really important stuff and get down the workshop (or the pub) the rest of the time.

I once entertained the idea of writing a novel that takes place in real time during an ad break in The Simpsons on Sky.

My missus likes the dancing on ice show and records it (when it's on) now it's a two hour programme and she watches the skating in twenty minutes flat, the rest is waffle and ads.

Advertising is why Facebook sold for some obscene amount of money the other day along with 'Money saving Expert.com' for 87 million squids.
