Saw this on the flea bay, says it is for book binding. Looks more like a dovetail jig without the templates????? What do you guys think.

Cheers
Not long sold one on here. I am sure it as as you say a dovetail jig without the templates. Have you seen the price they want for it!!!!!,!,

Think i need to order a few dovetail jigs from axi/ rutlands and remove the templates and sell the frame work on ebay. I'll be a millionaire

Imagine the moron that might buy such a listing

I cant tell if its supposed to be an April 1st joke or not but the odds are they know what it is, some people...

Thats bloody ridiculous!!

Some people put stuff on ebay and expect a mint for it when really it is only worthy of the bin!!

Things like this really p me off about eBay. I contacted the seller via eBay and told them what it was and included a link to the Axi site where the new jig comes for £69.99.

Their reply " well it might be a dovetail jig without the fingers but it was being used as a book press from where we got it from" Good eh !

Hi

How does the 'ask the seller a question' work? Could you ask a question along the lines of

'You do know this is a dovetail jig minus the template and available complete for £70 don't you?'

Would that then appear at the bottom of the listing?

Regards Mick

It only appears on the listing if the seller wants it to. When he replies there is a checkbox that he has to tick in order to display the question and his answer on the listing. So it's not automatic.

If the OP edits the title to include "Adjustable Twin Book Binding Press" Google will probably show this thread when a search is made for those words Same as Google is showing the eBay listing with those words

I've done that Mick but the question does not appear on the questions asked section of his advertisement . I think the seller has the option as to whether or not the question is displayed.

I'll bet the guy is getting really excited with all the 'Watchers' he's getting - doesn't realise they're all just having a laugh at his expense :)
