I use a mitre-trimmer/guillotine in my shop. No motor attached, of course, but I still managed to give myself the worst cut I've ever experienced.
During a push-cut, the blade just touched my left hand middle-finger, and reflex action caused me to snatch my hand away. Unfortunately I let go of the handle too, and the weight of the handle carried the blade forward a fraction. With the result I just dragged my finger into the blade, rather than away from it! Luckily one stitch was all that was neededd, but twenty five years on, the scar still tingles in cold weather! Moral? Don't 'push-cut' on a two-way mitre-trimmer! (hammer)
