Some years ago I saw someone cut thin pieces of wood on a table saw, with no risk to fingers. The strips were around 8mm x 6mm from softwood stock a couple of feet long, and he cut several dozen in a couple of minutes, and didn't use a push stick.

I can't remember how he did it, and I need to cut some bottom bars for the frames in my bee hives. Can anyone help?

I seem to remember that our late member Niki produced a number of jigs which included a safe way to cut thin strips on a table saw, but after a quick look I can't find it - he made a large number of useful posts. Perhaps somebody else can remember which thread it was posted on.

Thanks, gentlemen. The method I saw was none of them, but they'll do for me. I'm saving up for some of Steve's dvd's, and if the weather improves I should get some honey money!

Regards, John
