here are some pics Graham, this is my string steady
Mounted on the lathe
A three wheel steady made using inline skate wheels, ply and wing bolts.
The 9" thin goblet, the stem at the thinnest point is 1.9mm so just .1mm thicker than the Trembleur stems in the video's, I measured it with a micrometer!

The Goblet is quite remarkable Kim.
I like the stedies and can see how the string one works. Great for when the wood is thinner than the wheels could support.
