Here's a couple of photos of a freshly-cut candle holder I made yesterday. It only took four internal cuts to make and is a project that can be done in an hour or so depending on the wood that you use. In this case I used yew, which was not particularly easy to cut to be honest, next time I will be sure to use softer woods.

I do not intend on keeping the candle shown in the images on top of the candle holder, as it would obviously be a fire hazard. I will either place a tealight in a metal case on top or use an electronic candle. Once cut on the scroll saw, the candle holder only requires a little filing or sanding.
