Hi

Here is a commission work, the insert timbers is the logo for the client, and is a presentation to a Chinese Sister City.

Someone has said that it is unacceptable/an insult to give a Chinese person a clock. I've not heard of this issue, is it truth or an urban myth?

Tony,
thismight help. Apparently it is a social taboo because the words "give clock" are pronounced the same way as "attend father's funeral". So your client may have to offer to sell the clock to the intended recipient for a nominal sum. Isn't the world a strange and wonderful place?
