I share your pain. I'd anticipated the lockdown and so ordered a load of plywood from the local builders merchants so I could carry on working. Shelled out loads more on online stuff, fibreglass material, ironmongery etc.
Tuesday lunchtime, the builders merchants rang me with some feeble excuse. The actual truth being that they couldn't be bothered to deliver to me as I'm right at the end of their geographic territory. They were then closing at the end of Tuesday. Had they been open and honest when they took my order, then I could have sourced elsewhere.
So now I'm down to scratching away half-heartedly at things and really don't see the point in starting anything as sure as not, there will be some key item I've not got enough of.
On the bright side, this work is for us and I'm not reliant on it for an income but to all those out there in the trades, and having been there myself at one time, I really feel for you guys.
