cladding on timber framed porch

Hey all,
So as many will know I am building a timber framed porch and I am running through to try and work out a parts list. I am planning on cladding the structure in wood (not sure what yet) and I was wondering what needs to be under it.

Can I put a breathable roofing membrane around the structure and then clad over that or should I use some 12mm osb to close the structure and then a dpm/water barrier and clad on that (using battens to fix the cladding to on either solution)

on both solutions I would insulate on the inside and plaster board to close it all up?

Any best practises or ideas?

I'd probably go,

External cladding, stud to create air-gap, breathable membrane, insulated stud wall (depending on your preference an acoustic partition, rock wool or pir board) then plasterboard.

Is it touching the ground at all on the outside? If so you'll probably need a damp proof membrane at the base?

Hi Mark,
No it will be on a course of brick so the cladding will not make contact with the ground. I was thinking about how you have said so will be doing it that way.
