As I posted in the turning section, I'm making a checker board coaster for a tea pot (don't ask!)
Anyway I have the following lotions and finishes available and wondered what people would suggest as the best finish for a glossy long lasting finish:
Sanding grits up from 80 to 12,000 grit
Sanding sealer
Friction polish
Tung oil
Osmo Poly X
The board is made up of some spruce and a dark hardwood but I'm not sure what it is.
Any advice on the best ways to finish with why I've got would be welcomed.
