I've ordered the brackets, 2 sets of the 8 inch ones so I'll have enough to use 2 on the bed, 4 on the bridge leaving 2 for potential supports along the bridge or for other shelves, I'll worry about the scratch post once everything else is done.
Next, what finish do you guys think? A foodsafe oil like mineral oil, wax or varnish?

A mirror polished wax finish would add another dimension to the usage

Nothing to creatively at this moment re' actual design/construction etc... But some of the ideas are really novel and do raise a smile or three... Keep 'em coming... I can/will pass some of them on to friends in Trumpet land for their enjoyment
