Hello,
I am bulding a built in wardrobe for a friend using oak veneered MDF with glued on real wood edging and solid oak framed doors with veneered panels.
I plan to use Danish Oil for finishing it and I would like to know if I need to oil both sides of all parts?
The reason I ask is that a lot of sides will be concealed as they will be screwed together or behind the scribed in frame.
I would prefer not to oil areas that aren't visible as I think its wasteful of time and oil but I'm not sure if oiling one side would adversely affect it,
i.e. unbalancing it, like veneering one side of a panel would do?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
