Hi, thought I would share this project I am working on. 300 year old Chestnut with Bubinga bowties, will have a Bubinga frame round the outside with Chestnut pellets when i get round to it.
Beautiful, but I wonder if it would have looked even better with a wider frame? - it seems to me to look slightly unbalanced weight wise. Superb, nevertheless, and that's only a thought.
I would have liked to use wider Bubinga for the frame but could only get my hands on a small amount at the time... It is 50mm x 15mm. I think when the mirror is in it will finish it off nicely. Thanks for your input though Phil.
That is going to look stunning once you get the mirror in, Like the idea of natural edge and also the butterfly repair patches gives the whole this character.
